Not content with delivering the best in new music with their ongoing compilation series, French label Kitsuné are hooking up with influential lifestyle website Ponystep to host a night at London’s Heaven. The event promises to be a highlight of the Easter weekend, where clubbers in the capitol can take full advantage of two extra days off work. Headlining duties will be handled by French electro purveyor Yuksek; performing tracks from his debut album ‘Away From The Sea’. Also performing will be Spanish oddballs Crystal Fighters, whose standout track ‘I Love London’ will surely strike a chord with the heaving masses.
As well as a feast of live entertainment, there is also a wealth of DJ’s to keep you entertained: with Friendly Fires and Two Door Cinema club taking to the decks alongside Kitsuné regulars Gildas, Tronik Youth and Luca C. Ponystep’s share of the evening’s entertainment will be provided by JBAG, Matthew Stone and Hanna Hanra plus a Surprise Guest.

Kitsuné Maison has, over the past few years, established itself as an essential label for those seeking out the best new music. The label continue this trend by this month taking out two up and coming bands on a UK tour. Co headlining the dates will be Delphic and Two Door Cinema Club. After recently camping out in the studio with Ewan Pearson, Delphic will clearly be keen to debut their new tracks live. For the uninitiated Delphic’s previous single, ‘This Momentary’, is the perfect introduction to the bands beatific electronic sound - think Friendly Fires if they were slightly more subdued.
Irish trio Two Door Cinema Club debut single ‘Something Good Can Work’, featured on the Kitsuné‘s last compilation. The joyful, addictive track recalls the likes of Phoenix and turned the heads of various tastemakers earlier this year. Kicking off in Manchester’s club Academy, the dates are a great chance to catch two new bands who we are sure to be hearing more from within the upcoming months.
Back in 2001, Pascal Arbez-Nicolas aka Vitalic unleashed the ‘Poney EP’ on unsuspecting dancefloors around the world. The EP contained the frantic ‘La Rock 01’; a track that became a staple in a countless number of DJ’s and showcased a sound that would go on to influence both producers such as Soulwax and Justice, as well as über chic French labels like Ed Banger and Kitsuné. It was a long four year wait before Vitalic delivered his debut album, ‘OK Cowboy’. However upon hearing the engine rev that signalled the start of standout single ‘My Friend Dario’, it was obvious that it had been worth the wait. Never one to rush things, despite regularly making live appearances across the globe, we’ve had to endure another four year wait for the latest Vitalic album. ‘Flashmob‘ is released through PIAS on the 28th of September – containing 13 new tracks that promise to reignite the slightly flagging Electro scene. Added to this, there is also a new EP dropping the 10th August entitled ‘Disco Terminateur’, perfect who need their fix of jarring electro post haste.
