Still recovering from last night’s Pixies ‘Doolittle’ tour – likely to be remembered as the reunion gig of the year- we now bring you fresh news about the most awaited comeback of 2010.

Pavement recently announced their first US dates for September 2010 in Central Park; putting an end to growing rumours about the band getting back together permanently a decade after they split up, yet confirming they will perform some more one-off gigs both sides of the Atlantic.

Today it has just been announced that they will be the Curators of the second of All Tomorrow’s Parties festival’s spring editions, to be held at Butlins, Minehead on May 14h-16th.

The legendary band, one of the most influential of the nineties, will be joining an illustrious list of past ATP curators that includes Belle & Sebastian; My Bloody Valentine; Steve Albini; Matt Groening and Portishead among many others.

Tickets for what’s likely to be one of the most anticipated events of the year go on sale this Friday. No other artists have been confirmed yet, but the sole name of Pavement is a guarantee for the festival quickly selling out. Full details can be found here.
