Tiffany Page may not be a household name as yet, but her spiky guitar infused pop certainly makes her one to watch over the course of the next few months. Following in the footsteps of famous fem-rockers such as Chrissie Hynde and Shirley Manson, Tiffany’s music has been striking a major chord with Radio 1 DJ’s and fans of melodic rock and roll. The 23 year old has recently been signed to Mercury records in the UK and has been enjoying success with her single ‘On Your Head’, which entered the Shazam Pre-release chart UK a few weeks ago.

After a sold out show last year, revered DJ Tiësto returns to London’s Victoria Park this summer. Last year’s event attracted more than 25,000 clubbers and this summer’s event is likely to follow suit. While the Dutch DJ would probably be enough of a draw himself, the lineup is bolstered by a special appearance from Australian stadium dance behemoths Pendulum.
However, the line up doesn’t stop there; Tiësto has also pulled in some of the world’s finest DJ talent, spread across three other arenas. The Mixmag and Don’t Stay, House Rules and Future Disco all curate an arena, with a jaw dropping display of DJ’s including Eddie Halliwell, South Central, Gareth Wyn and Greg Wilson to name a few.

When it comes to top DJ talent, the USA has always had an embarrassment of riches. With the weather emergining from the jaws of Winter and into Summer, excitement for the dance music community’s annual migration to the Balearic Islands is mounting. Early news indicates that the line up will be as action packed as ever: despite the fact that tourism Ibiza has been pinched in recent years by rising prices and competition from events such as The Miami Winter Music Conference.
DC-10, Ibiza’s most infamous nightspot, has announced it will re-open this year after a forced term of absence while big clubs such as Amnesia and Pacha continue to attract the crème of credible dance music talent – most notably Luciano’s Cadenza night and Sven Väth’s legendary Cocoon parties. Music wise Ibiza looks in great shape, even if it still remains one hell of an expensive holiday…
