White Lies @ Shoreditch Town Hall
Last week we attended a fantastic gig set in the luxurious surroundings of Shoreditch Town Hall, the event boasted a fantastic line up of British music talent. Headlining the evening were White Lies, who debuted new material from their forthcoming second album ‘Ritual’. From the sound of the new tracks played, the album is shaping up to be a confident step up from their debut.
Earlier in the night Everything Everything delivered a set that showcased their gloriously chaotic tracks such as ‘Schoolin’ and ‘Photoshop Handsome’. Lead singer Jonathan’s vocals effortlessly range to an almost choir boy like scream, while the band seamlessly warmed up the crowd before White Lies. Also appearing were I Am Arrows, the latest project from former Razorlight drummer Andy Burrows. Burrows has taken to the role of frontman with ease, leading the band through tracks from their debut album ‘Sun Comes Up Again’.
A second event in the planned series, will take place at The Monastery in Manchester on November 18th, where UK rapper Tinchy Stryder will appear with support from I Blame Coco and Kid Adrift. Free tickets can be won by registering for the event here.
