Belle & Sebastian Write About Love

September 7th, 2010

After their shaping up their own musical movie, Glasgow indie icons Belle & Sebastian are back with a new album nicely titled ‘Belle & Sebastian Write About Love’, to be released on October the 11th in the UK and one day later in the States.

Beginning the promotion in a very personal style, the band have just released a documentary style video. The 25 minute film is apparently a preview of B&S new idea – to produce their own TV show – and features an interview with an audience comprised of fans who enquire about their views on the changes currently happening in the music industry. Touching on the new DIY revolution and other interesting subjects, the clip also includes a live performance of two of the standout tracks from the record, ‘I Want The World To Stop’ and ‘I Didn’t See It Coming’. The new tracks sound like B&S at their classiest and set our hopes sky high for their eighth studio album being another landmark in their career. Following on from ‘The Life Pursuit’, Tony Hoffer is back on production duties and the record is expected to feature some other surprises, including a collaboration with Norah Jones in the track ‘Little Lou, Ugly Jack & Prophet John’.

The first single ‘Write About Love’ is also being offered as a free download here.
