Suicidal Tendencies – UK Live Date & DVD Release.
Formed in Venice, LA, California in 1981 Suicidal Tendencies have seen many incarnations and are regarded as the band responsible for giving Thrash music crossover appeal.
ST have now decided to release their first ever DVD titled ‘Live at the Olympic Auditorium’. The 80 minute DVD contains 16 tracks including such classics as ‘War Inside My Head’ and ‘Possessed To Skate’ as well as an ‘intro/making of’ from the show’s promoter Dick Donato.
Original band member, vocalist and mainstay of Suicidal, Mike Muir agreed to the show when hearing the Olympic Auditorium was about to be sold off; he comments, “The band started getting emails from some crazy guy that always said, ‘I know you’ll probably think that I’m crazy but I wanna book ST for a show and I got this idea’…”.
To coincide with this year’s DVD release Suicidal will also play a live exclusive UK performance. The band are set to headline Hammerfest II in North Wales on March the 13th alongside the likes of Iced Earth and Skindred. It’s also looking likely a new ST album will available in September this year, a good year for all those Cyco’s out there!
